“When asking the Student Council president what member stood out in her mind that would be a great candidate for this recognition, Joslyn was the first name that came to mind. Joslyn is a dedicated student who works hard and enjoys school. With a high GPA, she still finds time to be active after school hours. Joslyn is involved in High School figure skating, cheerleading, JV volleyball, newspaper, Baraga County Youth Group, Student Council, Class president, Youth in Government. She also works at the Baraga Drive-In.”
School activities: cheerleading, volleyball, high school figure skating, newspaper, Youth in Government, Student Council, and president of class; also a member of the Baraga County Youth Group, a lector for Sacred Heart Church, and a summer camp counselor.
Hobbies: cheerleading, skiing, beading, reading, going to the beach, and traveling.
Significant accomplishments: Winner of Hero Essay for America and Me, Class President for four years, and Speaker of House for Youth in Government.
Future plans: to attend college -- possibly at New York University or the University of Michigan -- to pursue journalism or psychiatry.
