Rachel Gerbig

Nominated by Sierra Bishop, Lake Linden United Methodist Church Sunday School Superintendent:
“I am nominating Rachel because she is an outstanding leader in the Lake Linden United Methodist Church. She is a Sunday School assistant teacher. She helps with the pre-school class and does a great job. She fills in for the teacher when she is gone and handles it well, which can be tough when working with several pre-schoolers.”

School activities: volleyball, cheerleading, track, choir, and band.

Community activities: singing at senior citizen centers and theater productions with the Calumet Players and the Missouila Children’s Theatre.

Hobbies: hanging out with friends, caring for animals, volunteering at the Humane Society, swimming, and going to the beach in the summer. Loves volunteering and environmental programs at Michigan Tech.

Significant accomplishments: volunteer service; Rachel loves helping people, especially younger kids.

Future plans: to study animal medicine or performing arts in college.
